Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Hi everyone!

Table? Have none.

I actually had no intentions of getting a table this year, and I thought it would be nice to just enjoy the convention for once with some friends. Around a month ago a friend messaged me saying one of her friends was selling theirs, I tried to get on it but the person selling never really responded.

I also did not get a weekend pass, so I hope I can even get in that weekend since they're saying something about an attendance cap? If anyone can shed light on that, please do! As in, would I only be able to buy day passes, or can I still get a weekend pass?

Maybe I can just ask someone to sell prints for me, I'll pay for part of the table and work out some kind of deal for their help and effort. I don't have anything new to sell but perhaps some people are still interested?

OR MAYBE

I can just cosplay an Artist Alley TABLE, I'll walk around with "DRAA" hanging over my head and if you want you can buy prints off me and I'll take sketch commissions for a day. ---Bad idea right?

Anyways, my apologies to those who were really hoping/looking forward to me being there

! If people wanted to buy prints perhaps I can arrange to bring a few for you haha.

LAME. But I love the cosplay idea!! xDD
I'm a bit disappointed that I won't be able commission you this year but I hope you can have fun with your friends nonetheless!

I believe the cap is overall not just weekend/day only. They added a cap this year because last year there were so much people that it was almost a fire hazard, no matter the size of the building! You can still have plenty of fun outside the con though, if you enjoy seeing peoples' cosplays and taking pictures! :3

I can imagine having to manage a table for 3 days would be a hassle. And you can't enjoy the con thoroughly like a participant, always busy watching your stand. Just relax this year and have some fun with your friends. Every year I go and it's been awesome. Though I would like to try selling at AN maybe next year? I unno what it'd be like, any tips?

They've been banning and blacklisting a lot of people this past two years for selling other people's stuff as well as the artists being sold. Conventions share their lists, it's really not worth being on one.
